Skunks also could dig up lawns hunting for grubs, and they will make a dwelling under a shed, beneath your deck in the yard, or in the crawl space.

 

In Utah Sow raccoons like to have their pups in chimneys, and attics. A positive sign you have raccoons in the spring is chattering noise coming from the fireplace, attic or ceiling regions.
