Hantavirus
Hantavirus is a viral disease that is transmitted by rodents. Rodents shed hantavirus particles in saliva, urine and feces. Inhalation of virus via aerosolizing of dried rodent saliva, urine, feces, and dust particles, possibly via rodent bite and by ingestion of contaminated food and water. Symptoms are flu-like, fever, headache, respiratory distress, coughing, vomiting, abdominal pain, can be fatal due to lung involement.
